Membership

Through the development of a membership program, materials are recirculated as creative and educational resources to schools, early learning centers, artists and the general public. Members meet with one of the curators to discuss their project and curators help them select materials.
This opens opportunities for dialogue about sustainability and the affordances and ‘value’of materials.

100% of the membership fees support Creative ReUse Project staffing costs for the sustainability of the program.

  • Members can access the Creative ReUse Centre by appointment.
    Hours are:

    Thursdays
    1:30pm-3:30 pm

    1st Saturday of the Month

    1-4pm

  • Once you have paid your membership, members can access materials for one year. You must make a reservation on open days/hours to meet with a curator to collect materials for your project.

  • Individual membership - $85/yr
This is a family, individual for personal use, dayhome

Professional/Small School or Centre - $265 per year
This is for a smaller School up to 40 children or childcare/preschool with less than 80 children or professional maker/artist that are selling art/goods made with the materials

    Medium School/Centre - $365/yr
This is intended to be for childcare/preschool program between 81-120 children or School with 400-600 children or a post secondary institution for Faculty access.

For larger schools and centres we encourage you to start with a Medium Centre Membership and reach out to us to discuss how we might meet your needs while honouring the Membership Agreement and Good Faith policy.

Membership is bought annually and will renew each year from the date of purchase. You will receive a renewal notice prior to your subscription expiring.

  • Membership operates on a good faith policy. Members agree to collect the likely volume of materials for personal use in a classroom, artistic endeavours or home environment. We ask that you only take what you currently need. Members agree not to resell materials in their original from collected.

Please speak to us if you are wanting to collect more materials than for individual use such as for a School or childcare centre to discuss Membership Fees.
